Today in Verbana as I was writing names on the backs of their butterfly
crafts I asked this little girl what her name was. She told me "it's
Gorda" which is Spanish for fat or
fatty. I was like "No your name, what is your name?" "Si es Gorda" her
friend nodded in agreement that her name really was Gorda and after
pressing the mater for a good 5 minutes I realized this 3 maybe 4 year
old has only ever been called Gorda. She doesn't even know any other
name. This broke my heart! These kids are in desperate need of love and they need to be told they are loved everyday! Today I've been pondering a new name to give her next time I see
her. Which do you like best? Princess, Precious or Gorgeous. I'm open for suggestions. Let's give
her a name that reflects how dear and loved she is by her Heavenly
Father!
